I have always been an explorer: I walk, I take notes, I paint from life, I photograph in total immersion in the real. My creative process begins with these steps. The smallest detail the land offers me stirs, almost against my will, a narrative populated with houses, trees, and ridgelines, fertile ground for a dramaturgy of landscape to emerge.
Everything is recorded in my notebooks and remains there for a long time. This is an important phase, during which a process of sedimentation takes place. I let the first emotions settle so that only what endures remains: the essence of wonder.
Then comes the time of the studio, and the shift into painting. Colored strokes, luminous masses, textures — this is a work of translation and rearrangement, aimed at expressing what I feel before a landscape in a pictorial language that reaches toward the sublime, toward that excess which suspends the gaze outside of time.
Nothing seeks to conclude, for these forms on the canvas, these singular figures, form above all a language made not of answers, but of questions.
